Bora Café

When you come down the mountain from the Igreja de São Sebastião de Lagos or turn into a small street at the green-tiled house that leads to the church, the Bora Café awaits you in between. Arranged in tropical style, with lots of fruits and mixed-up seating, you can have a coffee there or enjoy a fresh daily juice for less than 2 euros. The Bora has been around for many years, and at the beginning, it was a classic internet café that I went to as a teenager with my father to look up something or to print something out.

Due to the early opening times, which are very unusual for Lagos, you can have breakfast there, although I can highly recommend the toast. I don’t need the included olives for breakfast, but thick slices of toast are used in the Bora, toasted brown and buttered. You can also find yogurt, fruit, or muesli bowls or omelets, as well as various smoothies or juice creations, from the menu.

Wenn man den Berg von der Igreja de São Sebastião de Lagos runter kommt oder am grünen Haus in eine kleine Straße einbiegt, die zur Kirche führt, dann erwartet einen dazwischen das Bora Café. Im tropischen Stil, mit vielen Früchten und zusammengewürfelten Sitzmöglichkeiten, kann man dort einen Kaffee trinken, oder noch besser, einen frischen Tagessaft für unter 2 Euro genießen. Das Bora gibt es schon viele Jahre und zu Beginn war es ein klassisches Internetcafé, in der ich bereits als Jugendlicher mit meinem Vater war, um etwas nachzuschauen oder auszudrucken.

Durch die frühen Öffnungszeiten, die für Lagos sehr unüblich sind, kann man dort gut frühstücken, wobei ich die Toast sehr empfehlen kann. Zwar brauche ich die beigelegten Oliven noch nicht zum Frühstück, doch werden im Bora dicke Toastscheiben verwendet, bräunlich getoasted und gebuttert. Auch Joguhrt, Obst oder Müsli schalen, oder Omlette, sowie verschiedene Smoothie oder Saftkreationen, kann man der Karte entnehmen.
