Restaurante A Forja
Restaurante A Forja is an old-established typical Portuguese restaurant in Lagos.
Bora Café
When you come down the mountain from the Igreja de São Sebastião de Lagos or turn into a small street at the green-tiled house that leads to the church, the Bora Café awaits you in between. Arranged in tropical style, with lots of fruits and mixed-up seating, you can have a coffee there or enjoy a fresh daily juice for less than 2 euros.
Gato Pardo
If you are looking for a classic and good Italian pizza, the Gato Pardo is always a good recommendation. And thanks to its opening times, it is also ideal if you come hungry from the Praia da Dona Ana for a late lunch or early dinner.
A Rampa
Many tourists prefer the fancier restaurants that can be found in Monchique. But we have been drawn there again and again. The classic aluminum chairs, the prepared white disposable paper table, as well as three kitchen women, dressed in their smock aprons, who cut the potatoes into French-like strips by hand.
Prato Cheio
Prato Cheio, which means full plate, is a classical, family-run restaurant in Lagos. They are specialized in Portuguese dishes like different Cataplanas, Piccanha, or fishes, they got on the market.
A Barrigada
Next to the fisher boats and inside the storages of some fishermen, this restaurant has to be specialized in fish. And most of the times I have been there, my fish was good. The fish prices are on a normal level and presented on boards.
2 Irmaos
Typical Portuguese restaurant, good wine, and trained waiters. Specialist for shellfishes and shells. Located on the Praca Infante Dom Henrique, it is easy to find and has a big terrace.
